Stratford’s Energy and Environment Committee is continuing its work to help protect native plants and promote biodiversity in the City’s natural areas.
On Saturday, July 6 from 9 a.m. until noon, the committee will be leading a weed pull in the T.J. Dolan Natural Area.
The focus this time will be on Himalayan Balsam, which is an invasive species that, if left unchecked, can choke out native plants.
Volunteers as welcome to help out with the effort, and are invited to gather at the West Gore entrance to the T.J. Dolan Natural Area.
The event runs from 9 a.m.-noon, but participants are not expected to stay for the entire time. Any amount of help would be appreciated.
